Fenext was born in 2017 with a clear vision — to become a pioneering company capable of combining a unique and multidisciplinary vision in the industry, meeting the needs of our clients—major French investment funds—to implement their strategy in the Spanish market, and exceeding their expectations.

OUR PURPOSE

Our mission is to revolutionise the property industry by being the first to offer 360-degree expert vision. Given the complexity of real estate transactions and with the benefit of our experience in both property investment and asset management, we contribute to the development of buildings through adapted projects and by breathing new life into them.

We aim to be leaders in Spain and an international benchmark by implementing an all-encompassing vision of property consultancy. We bring a transformative approach to the property investment and development arena by fully integrating all aspects of the process for any type of asset.

WHAT WE DO

We specialise in devising and implementing solid strategies in the property industry. Our services span asset investment advisory—asset and property management—, and project management on behalf of our clients.

We are also property developers and capitalise on our solid control of all stages of the development of projects — be them new build schemes or projects involving the comprehensive restoration of existing buildings.

José María Carpio

Founder & Managing Partner

Jose Maria has spent his working life between Spain and France. He began holding different managerial positions, including manager and head of regional offices at Acciona and Metrovacesa. Between 2006 and 2018, he was president and CEO at former Financiere Rive Gauche (today, Groupe Atland— one of the most important development companies in France). Between 2012 and 2016, he served as a director of property development companies in Eastern Europe and North Africa. In 2017, he returned to Spain to found Fenext.
Since 2024, he also works as senior advisor at Urbanitae and is responsible for its expansion in France.

Jose Maria is a lawyer by profession and holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the Universidad de Navarra and a master’s degree in Property Business Management and Administration.

  

Javier Hortelano

Partner – Business Development

Javier has 30 years of experience in the Iberian and European real estate sector. He held senior positions in leading European real estate companies (Redevco, VastNed), having contributed as CEO to their establishment and development in Iberia, and as Board Member and Chief Operating Officer, leading investment and management at pan-European level. He was a partner in the real estate transactions team at PwC Spain until 2015 when he founded Catella Asset Management Iberia, a real estate investment and asset management platform. In addition, he was Chairman of the Spanish Shopping Centers Council (AECC) for 6 years and is currently a member of its Executive Committee.

Javier holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Seville as well as an MBA and Senior Management Program, from IESE Business School.

  

Jorge Vidal 

Director – Development & Project Management

Jorge began his professional career in the real estate industry and from 1998 worked for Metrovacesa and Grupo Tremon. He has held senior roles, including area administrative manager and head of regional offices. Between 2009 and 2019, he was purchasing manager and member of the management committee at Torrent Closures, a leading company in the industrial packaging sector.

Jorge holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from the Universidad de Cadiz, and a master’s degree in Business Management from the San Telmo Business School.

  

Rebeca Arnanz

Director – Planning & Construcion

Rebeca has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, performing tasks of management, supervision and delegation of operations, as well as comprehensive management of building projects, both in a developer and in leading construction companies nationwide. She has also been part of a team of technical experts for investment advice and management for exclusive properties in different markets in Engel & Völkers.

Rebeca is a Technical Architect graduated from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and holds a Master in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies, as well as a Master in Quality Management and Internal Auditor, in addition to parallel studies related to Rehabilitation and Pathologies of structural elements.

  

Andréa Gorayeb

Director – Marketing & Communication

Andrea began her professional career in Paris, working in the marketing and advertising department at French television networks, such as TF1 and TV5. Between 2005 and 2013, she became head of the marketing and communications departments of various financial institutions in Beirut (Lebanon), among which BNP Paribas, among others, stands out.

Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in marketing and strategy from the Universite Paris-Dauphine.

  

Pierre Descailleaux

Senior Manager – Asset & Property Management

Pierre has more than 10 years of experience in real estate asset management. He started his career in Property Management in Peru working with the most relevant real estate companies in the country. Between 2021 and 2023 he held management positions in consulting firms such as MVGM and Cushman & Wakefield for major institutional clients.

Pierre holds a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). He also has an MBA from EAE Business School and a diploma in Real Estate from ESADE.

  

Javier Fernández

Senior Associate – Business Development

Javier pursuit his studies in the financial sector, specializing in Real Estate. He began his career in Corporate Banking before joining Grupo LAR as an investment analyst, accumulating 4 years of experience in the real estate sector until joining Fenext.

Javier holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Granada and a Master’s Degree in Financial Institutions and Markets from CUNEF.

  

Francina de Juan

Associate – Asset & Property Management

During her studies, Francina carried out significant internships in the real estate sector. Among them, she joined the Real Estate department of Andersen Tax & Legal performing legal studies, drafting legal documentation and contracts, as well as Due Diligences on all types of assets.

Francina holds a doble degree in Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, ICADE.
